Our Web Design Process
We will ask you a series of questions about what your website is for. We will need to know what type of customers you are targeting, the color scheme your business uses, and how many pages you will need. We will discuss if you want a website that you can update yourself or if you’d rather have us do the updating. If you want us to update the site, any written content will have to be provided by you, the client. And we will add it to the site and correct any grammatical errors before publishing it. We will need to know as much as possible before we begin. The more we know, the smoother the process is for everyone.
Once we have gathered all of the information from you, we will do extensive research about your competitors, customers, and anything else that will make your website stand out above the rest in your niche.
3) Constructing the Foundation
After gathering the information needed, we will begin constructing the layout of your site. This phase will involve us sending you proofs of ideas we’ve come up with as far as the initial placement of images, and other items. Then we will exchange input with you. We can build you a design from scratch, or save time and money by creating a customized child them from an existing theme. The choice is entirely up to you!
4) The Design
This is where we add in the images we’ve created and/or the images and content you’ve provided to the us into your website. By this point, the overall look of your site will be pretty much finished.
5) Website Development
If you are wanting anything extra added to your site not related to the design aspect, (i.e. shopping cart, appointment scheduler, etc.) our developer will develop what you need. And then we will incorporate it into your website.
6) SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
We will make sure your site has everything it needs to rank high in search results. We will submit it to the top search engines as well as provide proper meta data and sitemaps to allow the highest ranking you can achieve.
7) WordPress Crash Course
If your website is using WordPress, we will sit down with you and teach you how to use the system to your advantage. You will learn how to create and edit pages and posts, upload media and much more!
1) Ease of Use
The advantage of a WordPress site is that you can easily edit it yourself without any knowledge of HTML. Many clients prefer this method because it is so user friendly.
2) More for Your Money
Many design agencies have their own content management system (CMS) that will cost you quite a bit of money. So you will be paying them a yearly fee on top of their set up fee just to use an inferior CMS.
3) Better Search Engine Rankings
There’s a reason 1/5 of the websites on the internet run off of WordPress. Search Engines love it! Everyone wants their site to rank higher in search results. And for that reason alone, WordPress is a no-brainer.
4) It’s Powerful
There are countless plugins for WordPress being developed everyday; and the majority of them are free! With plugins, you can add all kinds of functionality to your website. There is no need to hire expensive programmers and you can install a plugin for what you need in just a few clicks.
